Welcome to the Hedinux Wiki!

Hedinux GNU/Linux is a french independently developed distribution inspired by the Linux From Scratch and Beyond Linux From Scratch books. Hedinux is optimized for i686 and have its own packages management system.
The distribution try to be easy to use, and have all latest versions of GNOME, KDE, XFCE and Enlightenment 0.17. A few knowledge in hardware configuration may be useful.
Hedinux is available in a live-cd about 600Mo with GNOME and XFCE with possibility to install the distribution via internet, and you have an install cd with all packages (exepted KDE, but possibility to install it with internet) to install without internet.
